Cammie's Blog Candy

I totally have to apologize for not posting in the last while! I have tons and tons of projects to share, BUT I just switched my computer to a mac! So I am totally clueless about uploading photos and editing them! I think I am slowly figuring it out though!
I usually don't join blog candy giveaways, but this one is for such an amazing cause I thought would add it to my page! What a fun idea Cammie has! Check out her blog at: http://www.myblogbycammie.blogspot.com/ for all the details. (I totally just learned out to insert a "link" in blogspot!)
I thought it would be fun to do a fall card, since it is fall and what better time to be thankful?! So here is my card:

The main stamped image is from this adorable little fall stamp I found at Heartfelt Creations. The cardstock is ruby red and close to cocoa. The ink is black (for the stamped image) and then close to cocoa for the "grateful". I also used SU's large oval punch and misc SU markers. LOL notice how small my watermark is?! I still haven't totally gotten the watermark+mac issues worked out!
Thanks for reading!

TAGGED!

Yeah! I have been tagged!!! I am so slow at checking my blog though, so this is almost a month old! I was tagged by Ana at www.mystampspot.blogspot.com so check out her blog for some really great pictures!
So seven things about me:
1. I have three kids! One boy and two girls! Their birthdays fall on the 19th, 21st and 22nd and each one is in a different season: spring, summer and winter. I told DH I just needed a boy born on the 20th in the fall. He didn't agree though!
2. I graduated from the University of Utah with degrees in Psychology, Sociology and a minor in Criminology and corrections! I love reverse psychology on the kids! Works like a charm!
3. I am turning into a computer geek!!! I am married to a computer geek and he recently talked me into learning HTML, XHTML and CSS. At least now I can use cool terms like tags and syntax.
4. I am such a SU addict! My stamp room is totally pathetic! I think DH wants to cry every time he goes in there!
5. DH and I have been married for 8 years today!
6. I am totally addicted to chocolate and Starbucks! My favorite drink at Starbucks is a white chocolate mocha with raspberry. The people at Starbucks recognize me and even notice when I change my hair style.
7. My favorite job was working at Michael's as a framer.
Phew! It is hard to come up with seven interesting things about me! Now here is who I am tagging:

Painting, Again?!

We finished our last painting project last week! We painted our oldest DD's room with a princess theme, since she is a princess!! I used SU's Mixed Bouqet and paint I purchased at Home Depot.

Painting!!

So I finally took the plunge and painted and stamped DD's room! I have been wanting to stamp on the walls (I stamp on everything else) for a while, but it was a bit intimidating!! It actually turned out to be really easy! The theme of her room is a garden type theme. For the walls I painted a lighter shade of sage shadow. I chose out pale and perfect plum for her coordinating colors. So I took SU cardstock into Home Depot and had them match the color perfectly! How cool is that?! The look on DH's face was priceless when I opened the perfect plum paint can and he saw that deep purple color! He suggested numerous times "how about we just leave the walls green?". Nope! Not a chance! I was ready to stamp! I also made the valance and matching pillows. Which was a feat since I am totally not a seamstress.

Baby Shower

I had such a good time making these little baby shower favors for a good friend! She is having her first girl, so the theme was anything pink!! Out of the sides of the bags I cut out little onesies and ducks! My two favorite baby-ish images. Inside the bags I put peppermint patty sandwhiches and kisses!

Valentine's Day!!

These are some Valentine's I made for DD's class! The purse is actually a little heart!! I was so excited to get the new Yappy Day set to make pink poodles for these!

These are the Valentine's I made for DS's class. One picture is a close up and the other a group shot. He colored in the little mice and addressed them.

These are the teacher Valentine's I made. I made little peppermint patty sandwiches and then filled little tin buckets with them.

Bind It All

Yeah! I finally learned to make a watermark! I am so excited to now have my own watermark! I conned Mary into letting me play with her bind it all she got from EP. It is so awesome!! This little book is made from coasters (from Outback Steakhouse) covered with SU's Ginger Blossom Designer paper. I also used mellow moss and vanilla cardstock. The flowers are from the pretties kit I just finally got! They were so super easy to dye! I was seriously surprised! I just pressed them down on the regal rose stamp pad and they soaked up the ink! Funny though, they sure don't look like regal rose to me! I used the clear rhinestone brads for the flower centers. I wasn't sure whether the ribbon on the side was too much...oh well guess I can always cut it off later!

Mailboxes

I was so excited to find these little mailboxes in the Target dollar spot! To decorate mine I used SU Valentine's paper from 2007. LOL I have horded these for a whole year!! I also used the coordinating ribbon. I used regal rose, pretty in pink and taken with teal ink. The butterfly is from the Priceless set. I also used the scallop circle punch and rhinestone brads!

Recent Stamping!

These are some of the recent stamping projects I have made. This card I made using my new Embrace Life set from the Spring Mini: I decided to use my Priceless set! I don't use this set very often. The colors are mellow moss and groovy guava. It is also pierced with the crafters kit...that doesn't show up very well in the pictures though!
I cased the idea for this card from the catalog. It is a birthday card for my Grandmother in law.

These are some little gift cards I made for my aunt. She is a fabulous knitter and sticks these little cards in with gifts she knits. On the cards she can write the care instructions.
