Brocade Basics Dress Form

This is a dress form Mary and I made together! The design ideas were almost all hers! I just glued and cut stuff like she did! I am such a copycat! This is the brocade basics stamp set along with retired designer paper from SU. There are also rhinestone brads, hardware from the hodgepodge kits and miscellaneous ribbon. This is the front view:

Recent Projects!

I have been so bad about posting recently!! I have been so busy getting things ready for Christmas! This is a paint can and card I made for my uncle's birthday! He likes motorcycles if you didn't notice! The set is Born To Ride. I used designer paper from the "Formal Affair" line. I also used brushed silver cardstock.I filled the paint can with Chai Spice cookies.

The next card is some of the Christmas cards I made, I got the idea for the glitter on these from Mary Arima (check out her blog in my fav's list). I got the paper from Robert's. The set is The
Snowflake Spot. The center snowflake is stamped with glitter and then glittery snowflakes are also stamped over the designer paper. Don't you hate how glitter just doesn't show up in pictures?!

Time Well Spent

I got my new Time Well Spent set today! So I made two quick cards tonight! The first card I totally stole ideas for from Mrs. Mary Arima! Her blog is paper frenzy (see my favorites). I used some retired SU designer paper, pretty in pink, celery, bashful blue and vellum cardstocks. I used a ton of glitter, but it just doesn't show up well in the pictures! I also used organdy ribbon and the greeting from Hugs and Wishes. On the first card there is a "Warm Wishes" stamped in the lower right corner, but it doesn't show up well in the picture.

Autumn Leaf Prints

I made this card and matching wrapping paper for a birthday gift! I got the idea for the card from my good friend Mary Arima. The set is Autumn Leaf Prints. The cardstock I used is really rust, basic black and brushed silver. I used metallic inks: copper, gold and silver. I embellished with silver twine and brads!

Cello Bag Craze!

Last week I used tons of cello bags. I made these cards for a gift exchange. There are cards and matching envelopes tied in a cello bag:

This is a close up of the card inside. The cardstock is soft sky, chocolate chip and close to cocoa. For the inks I use chocolate chip, pumpkin pie and garden green. I also embellished with ribbon and staples.
These are some little treat bags I made using the Tags So Much stamp set along with some Only Orange cardstock and Basic Black ink:
I made these treat bags for my DS's soccer team. Their uniforms are hunter and black, so I used Handsome Hunter Cardstock along with Basic Black ink and the I Love Soccer stamp set. I put the new oreo cakesters in the package! Wow are they good!!

Fair Project!

I was asked to make a make n take project or a few fairs I demonstrated at! I wanted to come up with something easy and fast as well as something that most people could use. A good friend, Mary, suggested making an over the corner bookmark. It slips over the corner of the page in your book! Everyone really seemed to enjoy making this and it was relatively fast which was great for a fair setting. It was something even the kids could make and use.
I started with a 4X4 inch square of white. I cut the square into two triangles (I cut from corner to corner). Each triangle makes one bookmark (so you get two bookmarks out of the four inch square). I folded the triangle in half and wheeled the bubble pattern over it. I punched out the scalloped circles using my new punch and regal rose cardstock. I stamped the butterfly image from the Priceless stamp set using white craft ink. I was so excited to use my Priceless set! I got it free from Las Vegas Regionals and haven't used it since! I then punched and tied the open corner together with white organdy ribbon. At the fair I had white, blue and pink which worked out great for the kids.

Happy Camper

It is my nephews first birthday! Happy birthday Wesley! I got this little outfit for him at Gymboree and I thought it would be cute to make a coordinating card and gift wrap! Here is the outfit:

Here is the card I came up with:

Here is the gift all wrapped up:

I used the Happy Camper Stamp Set with Garden Green and Close to Cocoa Ink. For cardstock I used Garden Green and Creamy Caramel. For embellishments I used twine, the hodgepodge hardware kit and of course wrapping paper!

Year After Year

I had a workshop for the new catalog today! I don't usually have workshops for myself, but I thought I would to unveil the new catalog. After the party was over I left the leftover stuff and stamps out on the table to go check out Hobby Lobby! I figured I would clean up the stuff when I got back. I have another stamp camp on Monday and I am going to make the same projects, so I cut out extra so I would have enough. When I got home from Hobby Lobby and was cleaning up I noticed I didn't have all the extra pieces I had cut!! I thought this is weird! I had only one back left, no white squares and tons of extra groovy guava! Weird! So I asked my six year old "who touched my cardstock?!". Anyone with kids knows that ooopppssss busted look kids get on their face when they are just about to lie! I was a little bit irritated at first, I had all of this cardstock cut and ready to go! So then I finally had him show me what he had used it on...he had made these little cards for my husband and I. It was really pretty funny after that and I was happy he stayed with one color of stamp pad!

New Catalog

It feels like I am one of the absolute last people to finally receive their catalogs! I finally got mine though! At the same time I got my catalog I also got a swap I participated in back! When I received both of them I was really excited! So there may have been a few excited "YEAH"'s! Well I tore open the swap and left the packaging on the counter! Later on my six year old saw the tore open packaging and said "What is that?!" usually post office packages mean candy/presents for him! My three year old looked at him and said "I don't know but Mom is sure excited!". I thought it was really cute!
I am really excited about some of the new accessories in the new catalog! I love the new pretties kit!! I am really excited for scallop circle punch and that we now sell the designer label punch individually! I have a cropodile I absolutely love, so I am excited to be able to sell it now! I love some of the new background stamps and wheels! I love the Voila Accessories and the Boatloads of Love!
What does everyone else think?!

Wedding Anniversary

As everyone probably knows, my Grandparent's celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. So we had a party for them! I made a paper cake and mini album for them. Here is the picture of how they turned out at the party!

Laundry Time!

Recently there have been so many cute cards with these little folded shirts I just had to try folding one myself! The cards are super simple as it was late by the time I got the actual shirts folded. I got the tutorial off of Cambria's blog! I LOVE her blog! She has such cute things on there! http://cambriaturnbow.blogspot.com/ This first one is made with black and pomegranate cardstock. The shirt is folded out of designer series paper from the palette o' prints. The little tie tac is a silver diamond brad from the vintage brad package.

The picture on this next one didn't turn out as well! The colors are saffron, celery and of course the blue designer paper from palette o' prints.

Preview Chipboard

This is my first try at using chipboard!! The chipboard flower is from the new Fall and Winter Preview package! I was a little scared of trying it out, but it ended up being so super easy! I just glue sticked the entire chipboard image, stuck it to the designer paper and trimmed! Voila! Super easy and super cute! I punched the whole in the middle of the flower with my crop-o-dile. Can I just tell you how CRAZY I am about the crop-o-dile? It punches through chipboard like butter! It is awesome! I used a silver brad for the center of the flower. For the papers on this card I used the new soft sky and pomegranate. Can you tell I am obsessed with the new in color papers?! I also used the yellow and pink designer papers from the palette o' prints. I embossed the background with my cuddlebug tiny bubbles embossing folder! I used the tag punches and the "joy" from small script! I embellished with my typical white organdy ribbon! Thanks for looking!

Swap Card

This is a card I made for a swap! If you are swapping with Shauna and want to be surprised, look no further! The colors are close to cocoa and pretty in pink. The background is close to cocoa craft ink embossed with clear embossing powder.

Addicted to Baroque Motifs

What a fun stamp set this is!! Can you tell I love it? I decided to play around with embossing stamped backgrounds, so I stamped the background and then embossed it with the flourish embossing folder. One color scheme is close to cocoa, caramel and the new blue bayou and the second is chocolate chip, caramel and blue bayou! Hope you like!!

Sick Zebra

I have been playing around with my new Zoofari set and my cuddlebug embossing folders! I made the zebra all sorts of silly colors. I think he looks a little sea sick in wasabi green! For this card I used wasabi green and river rock cardstock. The river rock looks green to me, so I decided to pair it up with the wasabi! The background is embossed with the cuttlebug folder "textiles". The saying is from the new Holidays and Wishes stamp set. I gave the zebra his sick hue with an aquapainter and wasabi green stamp pad.

For this next zany zebra card I used the new pomegranate and black cardstock. I embossed the black cardstock with the "mosaic" embossing folder! I have to say I am having such a good time with the new cuddlebug goodies! I also added a smidge of designer paper from the palette o' prints pack! This is another new toy I am crazy about! I once again watercolored the zebra with an aquapainter and the pomegranate stamp pad. I added a touch of organdy to highlight the white cardstock the zebra was stamped on. I used "from the heart" from the Holidays and Wishes stamp set. I like to choose general sentiments so the card is really versatile. It could be a baby card, a birthday card etc.

Baroque Motifs

I have been playing around (again) with my new Baroque Motifs stamp set! This first card I totally cased from SCS. I used close to cocoa and the new river rock paper. Boy oh boy does river rock look green to me! I embossed the swirl in close to cocoa craft ink and clear embossing powder. The ink for the flower and saying is close to cocoa classic ink. I embellished with a little ribbon. I don't have the ticket punch (I need it though!) so I impervised by punching the corners of this project with my circle punch.

This next card looks a lot better in person! I used the new purely pomegranate cardstock along with silver and a smidge of white. For the background of this card I embossed the silver swirl onto the siler cardstock. It just doesn't show up in the picture! I then stamped the swirl in pomegranate and the little flower in silver. I finished with a little white organdy ribbon.

Snow Leopard

I made this card for my DD! She is obsessed with snow leopards. Not sure exactly what the animal in the set is, but I think he looks kind of like a leopard! The set is Stampin Up's new Zoofari set from the Fall-Winter Preview Brochure. I also used a stamp from Fresh Fillers for the background and "joy" from Small Script. I used black, grey and white cardstock for a monochromatic theme (depends on what you consider monochromatic). I stamped the leopard and joy in black and used white craft ink for the background. The oval for joy was punched using the smaller SU oval punch (I need to get the larger oval punch for layering!). I watercolored the leopard using an aqua painter and grey and black stamp pads (squeezed the ink against the lid and used this as a palette). Overall just a simple card!! DD was very happy with it though!

Anniversary Accordion Album

I was a little unsure of this stamp set when I first saw it...I have to say though it is really growing on me! I made this little album to display at my Grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary. It uses the new Baroque Motifs stamp set, close to cocoa cardstock, creamy caramel cardstock and some designer paper I bought at Michael's. I stamped with close to cocoa ink and embellished with vinatge brads. To make it I cut a sheet of 8.5X11 close to cocoa cardstock into two 4X11 inch strips. I took one strip and cut it down to 4X9. I then took the strips and scored them at 3 inch intervals. On the 4X11 inch strip I had an extra two inch flap leftover. Using glue stick I secured this flap to the back of one of the 4X9's panels. So I now have a 20 inch long piece of cardstock scored at 3 inch intervals. I folded the 3 inch panels into an accordion and then embellished!! I really hope this makes sense!!! Here are views of the whole thing, the front and then the end. If you can't read the quote on the end panel it says: There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved.

Quilt Cards

Here are some little cards I was asked to make for a quilting retreat. The "quilt" is made out of designer paper cut into 1.5 inch squares and then cut in half again making little triangles.

Purses

Here is a picture of some purses I made for a recent stamp camp. The purse is stamped with the little flower from the Dreams Come True stamp set. Pretty in pink ink and cardstock is used, as well as white cardstock. The purse is filled with a hershey's nugget candy bar.

Monogram A Card

I thought I would post this card as an example! A dear friend helped me design it. The A is coated with multiple layers of UTE (ultra thick embossing powder). It gives the A a plastic feel and look.

Stamping Spot

This is my new stamping spot!! I hope to share lots of stamping stuff here! Ideas, tutorials and samples!! I hope you enjoy!!!
